Wild Card Weekend Recap
This was the first week of the Playoffs, and it certainly was WILD.
Andrew Luck and the Colts came back from a 28-point second half deficit, Shayne Graham nailed a game-winning Field Goal to lift the Saints over the Eagles in Philadelphia, and that was just the FIRST DAY.
You got everything you could've wanted: a high-scoring shootout [Kansas City 44 Indianapolis 45,] a big upset [San Diego 27 Cincinnati 10,] and TWO yes TWO game-winning kicks as time expired [San Francisco 23 Green Bay 20, New Orleans 26, Philadelphia 24.]
It was a great week to be a Chargers fan, or Colts fan, or Saints fan, or 49ers fan, or just a FOOTBALL FAN.
It was a TERRIBLE week for Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Andy Dalton whose highly-favored Bengals lost 27-10 to San Diego in a game they should have won. [I was one of the few people who predicted a San Diego upset.]
All in all, I was 3-1 on picks with the lone mistake being that I put too much faith in Nick Foles and the Eagles and not enough in Sean Payton and the Saints.
Players of the Week
Offense: WR Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers
Defense: LB Robert Mathis, Indianapolis Colts
Special Teams: K Phil Dawson, San Francisco 49ers
Overall: QB, Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
